Acetate Easel Card

I wanted to do an easel card but I wanted to do something a bit different, so decided to use some printed acetate that I had in my stash.

I used a topper and matching card from the Hunkydory Birds of Paradise collection, added some ribbon, buttons and a sentiment.

Furniture Restoration

Good Morning you lovely people, its quite a grey day here and today we were supposed to be able to see a Solar Eclipse, hmm so much for that far too cloudy and grey so didn't see a thing!!!!  Ah well roll on the next 11 years.

My latest project was to transform an old piece of furniture that I really didn't like that much and was trying to decide whether to get rid of.

So did a bit of research online and decided to re-paint the unit with Rustoleum Chalk Paint in a Duck Egg Blue. The result was fabulous and I have to say it is the best kind of painting, no sanding or prepping just paint. How cool!!!!

Mum Easel Card

This is my mothers day Easel card.  I had these lovely scalloped shaped cards but wasn't too sure what I was going to do with them.  I scanned it in to my scan and cut machine and cut out an exact same size and shape out of white card to use as the front of my easel card.

I then cut out the exact same size and shape in a light patterned paper for the front of the card, and then cut another piece of patterned paper using my scan n cut for the inside of the card.

I printed out one of the decoupage sheets from the Katy Sue Designs Fabulous Fashion CD rom.  Scanned in the topper sheet shape in my scan n cut so that I could cut out a layer that was slightly larger than the topper.  Layered up the decoupage sheet added some ribbons to the dress and the hat for decoration. I made some paper roses added some glitter glue to the tops of the roses.  Made a Mum tag using my Serif craft card II software printed it out and embellished it.

I then chose the same design that I used on the front of the card to use as the insert of the card. I used a With Love button as the stopper for the easel card.

I then finished my card off by adding some gemstones to the front.

The BFG Criss Cross Card

This is my first attempt at a Criss Cross Card, and to be honest I am quite pleased with the way it has turned out.

I used the Roald Dahl paper pack from Docrafts, the Roald Dahl DigiKit from serif to make the topper.  Stamped some flowers out and coloured them in with my Chameleon Pens which I have to say are my new favourite, added some glitter and buttons to them and stuck them on.  I also stamped out a heart shape and covered it in Candy. I stamped a sentiment for the insert and added some more flowers.

Very pleased for a first attempt.
